Read an exchange result without mistaking it for a bank quote
100 USD becoming 80 EUR is a calculation example, not today's rate. We used a fixed API fixture to check multiplication and separate reference dates. This makes the example reproducible even when real rates change.
Input and result
USD/EUR (fixture) | 0.8 | 2026-10-26 |
USD/KRW (fixture) | 1400 | 2026-10-23 |
100 USD × 0.8 | 80 EUR | hypothetical |
What the result means
With a hypothetical USD/EUR rate of 0.8, 100 × 0.8 = 80. The fixture labels EUR 2026-10-26 and KRW 2026-10-23; Apps24 preserves both dates instead of treating one as the timestamp of every pair. The downloaded JSON marks these values as hypothetical. A fetched-at time is not a new market observation.
What to do next
1. Enter an amount using the example number format shown in your language. 2. Confirm the direction of the currency pair. 3. Read that pair's reference date, especially around weekends and holidays. 4. Ask the provider of your actual payment for its exchange rate and fees before paying; this tool does not calculate the final settlement.
Use the toolLimits and test conditions
Verified locally on 2026-10-28 with a mocked provider response, not a historical market claim or bank transaction. English 1,234.5, French 1 234,5 and German 1.234,5 all parsed as 1234.5 in tests. Live data, unavailable pairs, spreads and provider fees can differ.
